PHONICS AND SPELLING

In KS1, children are grouped according to ability for daily phonics sessions and spellings are sent home to reinforce the sound they are learning.

KS2 currently follow the Read Write Inc spelling scheme and whch is taught in class throughout the week.

READING BOOKS

Ramsden uses book-banding to give children the appropriate level book for them.  We have a wide range of fiction and non-fiction available in ‘Bookland’ for them to take home.
